This is the perfect amount of hold—enough to hold the shape but not so much that my hair feels stiff and unpliable. I’ll definitely buy this again.
I had been using Authentic Beauty Concept's Strong Hold Hairspray, but they've been in the process of stopping distribution to the US. I tried Outer Space as a substitute, and I love it even more than my old brand--but with one caveat!
Outer Space has a soft hold that's still strong (just what I want for my 1920s/1930s-style curls.) It doesn't leave sticky residue and is easily brushed out if that's your jam (but still holds curl shape nicely even after brushing).
The only caveat is that though it smells nice, the aerosol fumes are strong! It's hard not to feel like you're inhaling the spray as you use it. I hold my breath while spraying and take a few steps back when I'm done. I can live with this, but if you're sensitive to aerosol sprays, this definitely is not for you!
Just tried this for first time after using several other products in the R+Co line. Ditching my other hairsprays now for this. Just the right amount of hold.
I was using Redken's brushable hairspray but wasn't thrilled with it since it left my hair feeling a bit crunchy. This hairspray, however, is absolutely divine—no crunchiness at all. Pure genius!
This spray is so light but has great hold. If you need to rearrange hair it’s so easy to do, then spray again. As much as needed
